Bustle Bride: Ashlyn Hardy

It's the start of a new month which means new Bustle brides to feature! Our first Bustle bride of the month is Ashlyn Hardy! She and her hubby Stephen said "I do" on a beautiful September day at First Baptist Church Opelika, and their reception was at an old Coca-Cola Bottling Plant.

Ashlyn has such a sweet spirit, and we absolutely loved having her in our store. We had a great time helping her find the gown of her dreams. She fell head over heels in love with a gorgeous lace fit & flare gown by Tara Keely. 

Ashlyn looked nothing short of phenomenal, and we were so glad she found her gown at Bustle! Check out some of the sweet moments captured from Ashlyn and Stephen's big day!

Sarah's favorite thing about a flower arrangement is the elegance they bring to a space. She has an eye for colors and shapes and how to arrange them in a truly beautiful and unique way.

At Gold Leaf Floral, they believe that beautiful, fresh flowers bring happiness and elegance to any event. They design for a variety of events such as, weddings, bridal teas, baby showers, birthday parties, retirement parties, and everything in between! The team at Gold Leaf Floral has such a talent with florals, they create some of the most beautiful pieces, and their work definitely speaks for itself!

Leslie Hollingsworth Photography

Leslie Hollingsworth has an eye for capturing photos at the perfect moment. She's a genius behind the lens, however, the photography road was one she wasn't expecting to drive down. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Fashion and Marketing. As she began putting her degree to use, she felt like she wasn't allowed to use her full creative potential. She felt bottled up, and with that, she stumbled upon photography.

As a child Leslie always enjoyed taking pictures and capturing those precious memories of her family and friends. Starting out, she didn't know how to properly "use" her camera. She just enjoyed capturing special moments of those close to her, and the more photos she took, the more she fell in love. From then on she learned techniques and different ways to use her camera, and she began to study the artistic side of photography. With that, she fell in love with photography all over again. She knows how to work a camera and has the best eye for how to get the best shot, and her pictures definitely reflect it!

Natalie Russo Art

We're so excited to feature the talented Natalie Russo! Natalie was born and raised right here in Birmingham, Alabama, and she describes herself as an "authentic Southern artist." After obtaining her degree from the University of Alabama in art and fashion merchandising, she began her business Natalie Russo Art. 

Russo find inspiration from the world around her, and she incorporates the element of water in all of her pieces. She loves the challenge of large-scale projects, and is always looking for the next big canvas to tackle! Natalie creates such fabulous artwork on the most creative of canvas, and we love all of her pieces!

Bustle Bride: Megan McCord Key

Our newest Bustle bride is Megan McCord Key! Megan and her husband Bobby said "I do" on August 11, 2016 here in Birmingham, Alabama. When sweet Megan came into our store she fell in love with 2 fabulous gowns. However, after thinking on it, she realized she just had to say "yes" to the Olia Zavozina mermaid style gown. 

Megan looked absolutely breathtaking on her special day. We're so glad she found her gown at Bustle, and we loved helping this sweet bride find the perfect gown! 

We're loving all of these precious moments from Megan and Bobby's big day, and the talented Leslie Hollingsworth can work magic behind the camera. These photos look like they could be on the cover of a bridal magazine. Absolutely gorgeous!!

Bustle Bride: Melinda Mahan Andrews

We're so excited to feature this sweet Bustle Bride, Melinda! She looked absolutely beautiful in her Anne Barge gown. Her fit & flare gown fit her like a glove, and had gorgeous beading detail accentuating the right side of the bodice. Plus, the tulle off-the-shoulder sleeves were the perfect "something extra" for this elegant gown.

Melinda and her hubby, Jonathan, both attended Auburn University, and they met on the campus bus of all places! After graduation and dating long-distance for over two years, they realized they wanted to be together for good, so Jonathan popped the question. They tied the knot on April 30, 2016 at the historic Rucker Place in Birmingham, Alabama.

Melinda has the sweetest smile, and such a joyful spirit. We loved helping her find the perfect gown for her special day, and we're so glad she found her gown at Bustle. When she slipped on her Anne Barge gown, she just knew it was the dress for her. We "glammed her up" with a cathedral style veil that was a match made in bridal heaven for her ruched tulle gown! With her veil and her gown, she wore Bustle from head to toe (literally), and we couldn't be happier! She totally rocked it down the aisle, and we just adore these fabulous photos of this adorable couple!

Gracefully Made Art

The incredibly talented Melissa Gullatte is the creative force behind Gracefully Made Art. Creating has always been apart of her for as long as she can remember. She would always have her sketchbook nearby, and she would find inspiration from the world around her. She loved  her art classes in school, and one thing led to another and Melissa majored in Studio Art and Business at Auburn University. The courses she took at Auburn really opened her eyes to different mediums of art and different ways of creating art that she wasn't exposed to prior to attending college. 

After years of convincing from various friends and satisfied customers, Melissa took the leap and created an Etsy shop for her business. She's constantly thinking about what she will create next because creating is such a big part of her life, and it's what makes her who she is. She incorporates God's Word into most of her creations. She stated that, "getting to immerse myself in a Bible verse for a living is incredible, and I'm so thankful this is what I get to do."

All of Melissa's creations are truly spectacular works art. Her love for art and creating definitely translates to all of her pieces. We had the privilege of partnering with Melissa for Bustle's 3rd Anniversary VIP Bride giveaway. She donated the most beautiful hand painted calligraphy wedding hangers. Melissa has such a kind and joyful spirit, and we absolutely love all of her work. This chick is so talented! 

Bustle Bride: Abby Lucy Bettencourt

Our newest Bustle bride feature is Abby Lucy Bettencourt! She and her hubby, Taylor, said their vows at St. Paul's Cathedral in Birmingham, Alabama. After they tied the knot, the bridal party and guests headed over to Iron City for reception full of laughter and dancing.

Abby has such a joyful spirit and we loved helping her find the perfect gown for her special day. She chose a beautiful Ellis gown with full sleeves and gorgeous lace detailing. Abby looking nothing short of stunning on her big day, and we were so excited she found her gown at Bustle!

Amanda Hinton is the creative mind behind A.joy Cakes & Co. Amanda and her family moved from Louisiana to Birmingham at the beginning of this year, and wanted to re-brand her business, and thus, A.joy Cakes & Co. was born! Hinton was born in Texas, and she made her first creative cake at the young age of 17, and since then her love of making and decorating cakes has blossomed. She creates the most gorgeous wedding cakes, as well as fun and quirky birthday cakes. She has a knack for paying attention to detail and creating the most unique cakes for each of her clients!
